PHP Directive Information Setting
display_errors Print PHP errors into the page itself. Handy while building a site, but leave it off once the site is live so visitors never see internals.
max_execution_time How long one script may keep running before it is stopped. Raise it for slow imports or report generation.
max_input_time How long a script may spend reading submitted data, including form posts and file uploads.
max_input_vars How many separate fields one request may carry. Large forms and big menu structures sometimes need this raised.
memory_limit The most memory a single script may use. Heavier apps and image work need more; use -1 for no limit.
post_max_size The largest amount of data a visitor may submit at once. Keep it at or above the upload limit below.
session.gc_maxlifetime How long session data stays valid before it can be cleared away. Raise it to keep people logged in for longer.
session.save_path Where session files are written. Leave this blank unless you have a specific reason to move them.
upload_max_filesize The largest single file a visitor may upload.
zlib.output_compression Compress pages before sending them when the browser supports it. Saves bandwidth and usually speeds up loading.

Sizes use K / M / G, e.g. 128M. Leave a field blank to use the server default. Keep post_max_size at least as large as upload_max_filesize.
